In the days since my surgery I haven't felt all that great. And before that I was on a special liquid diet and didn't feel all that great. And before that I had the stomach flu for a week and didn't feel all that great.
I think I felt great once back in early February.
Anyway, when times like this hit it's best just to coast by with life set to the 'easy' setting....meaning minimal housework, minimal cooking and minimal extra activities.
Basically, let the kids eat macaroni on the floor in their pj's in front of the TV.
I've always had a hard time with this concept. After my foot surgery, and now after this one. I like to keep the house a 'well oiled machine' and cook and clean and stick to a schedule. I even have a laundry schedule. Not to prove anything to anyone, but mostly to keep myself sane and try to do what's best for my family.
But right now it's just not happening. And you know what, I guess that's okay. The kids are still thriving, my husband still loves me and I'm still mildly sane.

Sometimes it just has to be that way. Hope you start feeling better soon. I must say, I love how the dogs are eying (eyeing?) the macaroni.
