My Little Sous-chefs

I'm sure I'm not alone in the fact that my kids like to help in the kitchen. Tessa is always asking...'what's my job, what's my job?"

I recently bought her the kid's safety knife that Pampered Chef makes. It's serated enought to cut stuff, but not at all sharp. Yesterday she had that while Charley took to a plastic knife and they mutilated a few carrots for me.

I didn't have a job for them today so made one up. This is a fun job and also a snack. Combine a few things in a bowl, in this case peanuts, marshmallows and dried blueberries. Make them sort them into small bowls!

Tessa takes this job very seriously, while Charley treats it as a pudgy bunny style marshmallow eating contest. Either way it keeps them occupied and happy.

Btw, did you know that I am the 2004 Highway Community pudgy bunny champion? I can fit 13 full size mallows in my mouth and still intelligently say 'pudgy bunny'. True story.

I did not know you were a "pudgy bunny" champion! That's hilarious!
